I’m Ivy Reid, artist and photographer.

I graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in 2D Studio Art.

I love to write, paint and draw; but photography is my main practice.

I love a good story. Whether I am writing one, reading one or using art to define one, stories help us recognize substance in everything around us. It’s almost impossible not to find subtle narratives in even the simplest of things. A multitude of small moments make up our own personal story, and the story itself gives the insignificant or most difficult of moments value and purpose.

I love a beautiful composition whether it’s visual or a poetic connotation. That is what compels my work; to capture the beauty of the moments that matter most, in whatever capacity.
