Series Premise

Rural Appalachia has a unique culture and history. Growing up there was an interesting experience. Exploring the area as an outsider and a native has driven me to both question and accept this part of my identity. These photos have nothing to do with me, yet they feel deeply personal and nostalgic. That in itself is curious and is what has inspired this project.
